Multimedia and Communication Network Center

1. MCNC is an innovative center dedicating to the advancement of technology in the fields of multimedia infomation processing, wireless network, 3D video coding, social networks, cognitive radio,etc. Under the leadship of Prof.YU, more than twenty graduate and undergraduate members work together towards both academic and individual career fulfillment. Diversity of group members contributes to the active inter-communication within lab. Moreover, MCNC also provides a playground for members to have fun. Various entertaining activities and games are scheduled periodically, which help creating an ambient atmosphere among lab members.

1. On May 20, Dr. Peng Yang and Jianbing Ni of University of Waterloo, Canada, was invited to give an academic report on edge computing at the A302, WNLO.
2. On November 17, Academician Shen Xuemin of the University of Waterloo, Canada, was invited to give an academic report on Automated Driving and Connected Vehicles at the A302, WNLO.

1. You are welcome to join our center if you are interested in related scientific research or would like to pursue your Master's degree or Ph.D here. Each year, we recruit 4-5 master students and 1-2 Ph.D candidates. You can get in touch with us if you have good quality, ability to think independently, strong interest in research, team-work spirit and good communication skills.
